This striking Marsh Truss bridge spans the Caney River on Old Highway 166 east of Cedar Vale. The bridge is still open to traffic and it provides access to Cedar Vale from the east. It is 291.9 feet long, with a deck width of 20.0 feet; the length of the longest span is 291.9 feet. The bridge was constructed by J. S. Vance & Sons of Parsons, Kansas. The concrete Marsh Arch was the creation of James Marsh, who designed and constructed several bridges like this throughout Iowa and Kansas.
