The historic Oklahoma Indian Meridian is W 97 14.500. This is the baseline for all surveys in Oklahoma other than in the Panhandle. For whatever reason, Indian Meridian Road lies about half a mile west of that line. A major thoroughfare in some parts of the state, out here it is an unimproved dirt track. This one-lane wood bridge takes light traffic (the posted maximum is five tons) across Fitzgerald Creek.
