The Strand Theater originally opened in 1923. In 1991, Bob Card and his partner Helen Zyma purchased the theater and began restoring it. It still shows first run movies. It showcases antique camera and Hollywood memorabilia. Of special note, the seats were removed, sent to a firm in Virginia for restoration to their original beauty. The marquee was installed in 1934.
