In Viðarlundin uti i Grøv you can see trees, trees are otherwise rare in the Faroe Islands. These are of course Nordic trees, pines and birches, these can cope with the climate and the much wind. However,Viðarlundin uti i Grøv is also located close to the sea and sheltered by mountains.
Viðarlundin uti i Grøv is not as visited by tourists as other parts of the Faroe Islands. It is mainly used by the locals, especially from the nearby town of Klaksvik. Kindergartens and families can be seen in the park. The dog must be on a leash. There are tables and benches in several places where you can eat your own food. A river runs across the park. It is crossed via wooden bridges.
There are many different birds in the park and several bird feeders
A lovely park to visit.
In 1980, the first trees were planted under the guidance of the national forester Hans Jacob Joensen, who later became city gardener in Klaksvik province.
