In April 2008, the TT monument was placed along the A28. The monument consists of two large letters T that will be placed on a four meter high hill. The stone statue is 11 meters high in total.

"The TT (Tourist Trophy) Assen is an annual motorcycle race on the Drenthe Circuit near Assen, in the Dutch province of Drenthe. From 2016, the TT Assen will be held on Sunday in the last weekend in June, previously it was traditionally held on the last Saturday of June. All Grand Prix classes are covered during the Dutch TT. Due to the reduction in the number of classes, these are now Moto3, Moto2, MotoGP and MotoE. The MotoE made its debut in 2021."
