Standing guard within his own niche, red lightsabre raised menacingly in one hand and an oversized candy cane in the other, Darth Vader is seasonally decorated by local kids at the Greenville Public Library in Greenville, Rhode Island. The 48-inch (122cm) DARTH VADER BATTLE BUDDY figure, feet still secured in an original box, was surrounded by colorful Christmas wrapping paper on one wall, brightly wrapped packages and a fuzzy red stocking on the opposite, and a grid of green ornaments hung behind him. The friendly librarian invited me back, saying "You've got to see him at Valentine's Day...and Easter!"
