On the door, it is noted that this was an Eagle Scout project, the work of
Laura Boulds of Troop 2020 (in Haslet, not too far from here), placed here on January 5, 2022.
This is a fairly common model of Blessing Box, made of corrugated stainless steel and mounted on a metal post. The back and sides are light blue while the rest is white. The door is plastic in a metal frame, secured by a latch on the side. There's duct tape around the edges, suggesting that the box leaks, although the contents appear to be in good condition. There are a few bags of dry rice and beans, some raw baking materials, and a box of oatmeal, but the cans are mostly vegetables. There are also some jars of baby food, and I left a big bottle of water and some chips.
The park is open daily from 5:30 AM to 11 PM.
