Egbert (Bert) Reitsma

This plaque was erected in recognition of Egbert
Reitsma's outstanding leadership in the community of
Fitzroy harbour and West Carleton.

Egbert (Bert) was a West Carleton
Township councillor, representing
Fitzroy Harbour. He also served
as president and vice-President
of the Fitzroy Harbour Community
Association. He also regularly
devoted his time to volunteer work
with recreational sports leagues
Scouts Canada and the Volunteer Fire
Department. Bert was a valued
member of many boards and
committees in the West Carleton
area, and his contributions to the
community is invaluable.
