The Powell County Veterans Memorial is located on the grounds of the Powell County Courthouse. It is about 20 feet wide and the highest point about six feet. It is a mural painted on concrete wall. It depicts soldiers with battle gear, soldiers raising a flag, and military equipment including a tank. In the sky are several airplanes from WWI and WWII and many helicopters.
