Talcottville is a village in Vernon built around the mill complex was acquired by Charles and Horace Talcott in 1856. The first Talcottville Congregational Church was built in 1866 by the Talcott Brothers Co. to serve their workers. It burned to the ground in 1906. The current Talcottville Congregational Church was designed in the Gothic Revival style by Russell F. Barker. The cornerstone was laid in 1912 and the church was completed in 1913.
A set of steps leads up to the entrance at the base of a three story high tower. Above the entrance is a large multi-pane window set within a slightly pointed Gothic arch. Above are two small rectangular windows with granite sills and headers. The top of the tower is a belfry with a pair of louvered windows set within Gothic arches.
The main block has a red gable roof. On the front are multi-pane windows flanking the central tower. The sides are five bays wide. Each bay is separated by two step brick columns. The taller bottom step is capped with a pointed granite block and the short upper step has a slanted granite cap. A large three-part window with a rounded top is located at each bay.
