Endless Circle, the first commission of Takaezu's bronze work in North America, was created as a collaborative effort involving the Bloomsburg University Art Department and produced on campus in the Simon Hall Sculpture Studios.
The bell is decorated on the front and back with a large, incised, freeform spiral, a reference to the Japanese Zen concept of endless circle symbolizing birth, death and rebirth.
The bronze bell was produced using the lost wax sculpture method and went through three main phases: the creation of a mold, the casting of the bell and the finishing of the bronze.-
