The Sand Creek Bridge was constructed by the WPA in 1939; bridge stones with the WPA logo and the year are at both ends of the bridge. Additional stones name the Major County Commissioner, Engineer, and Foreman at that time. This eighty-year-old bridge still carries traffic.
