In May 2022, the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, Episcopal built a labyrinth on the grounds of the Cathedral. The granite and grass labyrinth was designed by landscape architect Jennifer Bear. It was commissioned by leadership at St. Luke's Cathedral headed by Dean Ben Shambaugh who provided this quote to the press:

"Labyrinths have become one of those portals; one of those ways people can enter the church, enter spiritual practices when they might be uncomfortable with traditional churches." (visit link)

The entrance of the labyrinth faces State Street in the hope that people passing by will take the opportunity that the labyrinth offers for meditation.
