[FIN] Käsityöläiskadulla on monia erilaisia tyylejä edustavia rakennuksia. Kilpilinna on jugend tyylinen asuintalo ja sen on suunnitellut arkkitehti Erkki Virtanen. Rakennus valmistui vuonna 1910 osoitteeseen Käsityöläiskatu 8a. Siinä on neljä kerrosta ja yksi kellarikerroksessa ja vielä yksi ullakkokerros. Kadun puolella on kaksi kookasta erkkeriä. Talosta löytyy myös koristeellinen tornihuone. Monet asunnoista ovat kooltaan suuria edustusasuntoja.
Kilpilinna asuntoyhtiö sijaitsee C. L. Engelin nimeämän ja suunnitteleman asemakaavan mukaan Kilpikonna korttelissa. Talon sisäpihalla on harvinainen vanha säilynyt puurivitalo, jonka vanhimmat osat ovat vuodelta 1830. Pihalla talon takana on myös katos muutamalle asukkaiden autolle.
[EN] Käsityoläiskatu street has many buildings representing different styles. Kilpilinna is an Art Nouveau residential building designed by architect Erkki Virtanen.
The building was completed in 1910 at Käsityöläikatu 8a. It has four floors and one basement floor and one more attic floor. There are two large bay windows on the street side. The house also has a decorative tower room. Many of the apartments are large representative apartments.
Kilpilinna (castle shield) housing company is located in the Kilpikonna (turtle) quarter according to the site plan named and designed by C. L. Engel. In the courtyard of the house is a rare old preserved wooden house, the oldest parts of which date from 1830. In the yard behind the house there is also a shed for a few of the residents cars.
