Water Resources Branch Canada (02HB016 Disc #1) - Progreston, ON - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I located two reference discs for WSC Station 02HB016 on Bronte Creek at Progreston. This waymark is for the first disc (in the order I found them). Hydrometric station 02FA001 operated from 1977 - 1985, reporting flow levels only. The station was replaced in 1986 by 02HB022.

The first disc is mounted on the bridge carrying Progreston Road over Bronte Creek. Unlike most other WSC discs that I have found, this disc is marked "Water Resources Branch Canada" with no other identifying characters. Water Resources Branch Canada was renamed Water Survey of Canada in 1967.
