Thanks to Max and 99 for finding local geocachers who would help with coordinates, photos and history.

The geocachers are Zeke & George and their dog Trulee. However, it was a small team of helpers and dogs that found the coordinates, (see photo) namely Allie, George (Kay), Zeke (Charles), Matt, Mrs CP Denton (Christie), Emily, Mrs Like2Canoe (Sandy), Likes2Canoe (Jimmy) & CP Denton (Chris, photographer).....

Zeke & George have volunteered as park hosts here for around 15 years. Trulee has its own cache in the park. "Trulee's Cache" is located near a statue commemorating the Civilian Conservation Corps (known as the CCC) (visit link)

In the area there are several CCC buildings. Much of the structures that the CCC built were made from large native stone and large timbers.

Petit Jean State Park was the first state park in Arkansas. The CCC began developing its facilities and roadworks in 1933.
