Established in 1896, the church building was demolished in 1991, leaving the churchyard and a war memorial at this site.
The cross is at a high point in the graveyard and there are a number of steps leading up to the memorial from road level.
The cross is in the form of a red granite Latin cross with a tapering shaft with a two stage plinth and a square two stepped base.
There are a number of inscriptions on the memorial.
