[FR] Ce pavillon et la tour ronde étaient autrefois reliés par une porte avec chemin de ronde, (porte détruite en 1871 pour la création de la route de Bourdeilles). De la tour, une muraille rejoignait la falaise. L'ensemble formait la défense sud de l'Abbaye. Le pavillon, pur produit de la Renaissance, à été construit (vraisemblablement à la place d'une tour) au début du XVI eme siècle par l'Abbé Pierre de Mareuil dont on voit encore les armoiries au-dessus de la porte.
[EN] This pavilion and the round tower were formerly connected by a door with a covered way, (door destroyed in 1871 for the creation of the road of Bourdeilles). From the tower, a wall joined the cliff. The whole formed the southern defense of the Abbey. The pavilion, a pure product of the Renaissance, was built (probably in place of a tower) at the beginning of the 16th century by Abbot Pierre de Mareuil whose coat of arms can still be seen above the door.
