St. George Boulevard was the main route through St George linking Salt Lake City to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In 1965 Larsen's Frostop opened on the highway offering burgers, hot dogs, Piccadilly chips, shakes, glaciers, and slushes.
The double-sided neon sign beckons passersby to stop and enjoy the drive-in. But it is challenging, to say the least. Is it a small boy with a normal burger or the largest burger around? You'll never know until you order one. Always worth a stop to find out!
