To reach the mark from Laramie, travel west out of town on State Highway 130. Near the Laramie city limit, go north on County Road 55. Cross underneath I-80. Approximately 1 mile north of the crossing underneath I-80, the road will make a slight bend and run in a north-northwest direction. Travel ~0.75 miles past the bend and park due east of the top of a small hill with the mark sitting about 0.2 miles to the west of the road. At this point, you are parked on publicly accessible Wyoming State Trust Land. The mark itself sits just across the boundary of the state land on public Bureau of Land Management lands. The mark is set in a square concrete monument just to the east of the true summit of the hill; the monument projects about 4 inches above the ground.
