Medieval baptism font in St Michael & All Angels' church, Taddington.

In addition to the 15th-17th century font in the south aisle (visit link) is this older rough hewn gritstone font, believed to be from the 13th century, in the north aisle. Its history appears in a framed hand-written note on the wall alongside it. Like the more recent font, it is lead lined, a reminder of the importance of lead mining to the parish in the past.
