This 2-8-2 steam engine is on display near the Imjingak Tourist Information Center. There is no fee to enter the tourist information center or the surrounding peace park. However, visitors are usually required to be part of an official tour group.
This particular Sentetsu Mikasa-class locomotive was built by Nippon Sharyo in 1943. After the end of the Pacific War, this locomotive worked for the Korean National Railroad into the 1960s.
