Located at the east end of the south aisle is the Blackwell family chapel, a 16th century prominent family in the area, well established of many centuries in the neighbouring village served by Taddington church. This fine carved reredos, decorated with floral motifs was fashioned from a fireplace mantle of a house in the village.
