This fine old building was the home of the Collinsville News until 1987, when the paper ceased publication. The building stood unused for a decade until the building was transformed into the Collinsville Newspaper Museum in 1999. The museum is open by appointment, and features exhibits spanning the history of the newspaper and the town.

I was fortunate that on the day of my visit the museum director was there! He was the most recent editor of the paper - the fourth generation of his family to do so - and was pleased to show me around and allow me to take photos. This paper was started by his great-grandfather in 1899, before Oklahoma became a state!
