The Wood Duck Way Birding Trail is located at the Wildlife Center Project- Wildlife for Everyone Foundation (aka Tom Ridge & the Julian Wetlands) - Nature preserve, along US 220 between Port Matilda and Julian. The blind is ADA accessible and offers a view into a restored wetland.
Common species of birds that may visit: Red-winged Blackbird, Blue Heron, Wood Duck, Mallards, Teal, Green Heron, American Coot, Eastern Bluebird, Baltimore Oriole, Yellow Warbler, Spotted Sandpiper, Tree Swallow, Canada Geese. Other waterfowl may stop to rest here while migrating during spring and fall.
