This Former bank building is located at 211 Main Street in Glencoe, Ontario. Built in 1913 and opened in 1914 the building was originally for The Merchants Bank. The Merchants Bank of Canada company was based out of Quebec and existed from 1861 until being bought by the Bank of Montreal in 1922.
Likewise, this bank building bank of Bank of Montreal from 1922 until 1969.
Its history after 1969: Sears Order Office 69-74, Lawyer Office 74-84, Optometrist 84-86, Competitive Edge 86-92, Photography Studio 1992-2012, Red Rooster restaurant 2012-2022. It is set to become Sparrows Clothing store in November 2022.
