The Puente Internacional de la Amistad (International Friendship Bridge) spans the Paraná River at the border between Paraguay and Argentina. One can walk out onto the bridge and stand in two nations at once. The confluence of the Paraná and Acaray Rivers is just north of this point. The Paraná is straight ahead and bends right, and the Acaray comes in from the left. There is a striking difference in the colors of the waters in the two rivers, which sadly does not show very well in the photos.
