[FR] Le corps rectangulaire avec tour d'escalier hors-oeuvre a été construit à partir de 1489, sur le rempart gallo-romain. Il a été inauguré en 1492. En 1559 fut construite la tourelle de la prison, à l'angle de la rue Edouard-Branly et de la petite rue de la Narette (supprimée au XVIIe siècle), qui bordait la cour à l'ouest. La grande galerie fut élevée en 1624 par l'architecte berruyer Jean Lejuge. L'édifice a abrité l'hôtel de ville jusqu'en 1683, date à laquelle il devint la propriété des Jésuites qui y installèrent leurs petites classes.
[EN] The rectangular body with an off-stairs tower was built from 1489 on the Gallo-Roman rampart. It was inaugurated in 1492. In 1559 the prison turret was built at the corner of rue Edouard-Branly and rue de la Narette (removed in the 17th century), which bordered the courtyard to the west. The large gallery was built in 1624 by the Berruyer architect Jean Lejuge. The building housed the town hall until 1683, when it became the property of the Jesuits who installed their small classes there.
