The Military Museum of the Azores is located in the Forte de São Brás. The fortress is worth visiting but if you are interested in military equipment, that is the right place. You can see various weapons, uniforms, vehicles, etc.
Museum was opened to the general public in 2005. The museum pieces were obtained from the ZMA Units, private donations, and provided by warehouses of the Army.
The Museum is open from Mondays to Sundays, from 10 am to 6 pm, except for holidays. Tickets are 3 euros.
