Ollie C. Bolick was born the same year that Eugène Dubois finds the first fragmentary bones of Pithecanthropus erectus (later redesignated Homo erectus), or "Java Man" on the island of Java.

Ollie C. Bolick was the youngest of twelve children, according to her Find a Grave memorial, with the oldest (presumably step sibling) 38 years older than her. Her final resting place is at the west side of Tonkawa IOOF Cemetery, at the west side of Block B. She shares an upright marker with her spouse Amos A. Their headstone has the following inscription:
