The Tropic of Capricorn, S 23 26.250, marks the southernmost point where the Sun can be seen directly overhead. Signs on both sides of SP-127 mark this latitude. The text on the signs translate into English as "Here passes the Tropic of Capricorn" and gives the latitude. There is no pull out but there is room on the shoulder to pull over.
