EN: The parish church of St. Joseph is located together with the cemetery in the village center of Ausserberg.

The steeple with a pointed helmet and dark corner pilasters is located on the west side. The whitewashed nave is covered with slates and has two projections with side altars in the eastern third. There is also a small ridge turret.

The church was built in 1853-1855 as a chapel and then expanded to a church in 1879. The bell tower was built only in 1910. In 1947, the church was enlarged towards the east. In 1958, a valuable Gothic winged altar from a chapel in the village was moved to the left side altar and in 1996 a copy of a 14th century altar in the National Museum was installed as a counterpart in the right side altar. The organ was installed in 1999. In the 1970s and 1990s the church was renovated several times.

DE: Die Pfarrkirche St. Josef befindet sich zuzammen mit dem Friedhof im Dorfzentrum von Ausserberg.

Der Kirchturm mit einem spitzen Helm und dunklen Ecklisenen befindet sich an der Westseite. Das weiss getünchte Langhaus ist mit Schieferplatten gedeckt und hat zwei Ausbuchtungen mit Seitenaltären im östlichen Drittel. Dort befindet sich auch noch ein kleiner Dachreiter.

Die Kirche wurde 1853-1855 als Kapelle erbaut und 1879 zur Kirche ausgebaut. Der Glockenturm entstand erst 1910. 1947 wurde die Kirche gegen Osten vergrössert. 1958 wurde ein wertvoller gotischer Flügelaltar aus einer Kapelle des Dorfes in den linken Seitenaltar gebracht und 1996 wurde als Gegenstück im rechten Seitenaltar eine Kopie eines Altars aus dem 14. Jahrhundert im Landesmuseum eingerichtet. Die Orgel wurde 1999 installiert. In den 1970er und 1990er Jahren wurde die Kirche mehrfach renoviert.
