The first St. Patrick Church was dedicated in 1852 on the grounds of the current church. That wooden structure was destroyed by fire in 1925. Construction of the present stone church began in 1933 and services were first held in 1936.

The main block of the Gothic Revival style St. Patrick Church has a steeply pitched gable roof and a projecting central entrance framed by a wide Gothic arch. Above, in a niche covered by a canopy, is a statue of St. Patrick. Below he apex of the gable roof is a single Gothic stained glass window.

On the SE corner is a taller bell tower. The tower has butresses at each corner and near the top are Gothic louvered windows. The NE corner of the tower has a projection with lancet windows. The other corned have smaller projections.

The north side of the building has four gables projecting from the roof with Gothic windows below. Beyond is an auxiliary entrance within a complex of additions. Behind the tower on the south side are two four gables projecting from the roof with Gothic windows below. These are followed by a complex series of additions.
