This anchor is part of a memorial to the lost fishermen of the local fishing fleet at Gig Harbor, a small bay off of Puget Sound. It is located in Skansie Brothers Park near Jerisich Dock, a public fishing dock.

The anchor was donated by Marion N. Stancic in memory of a fishing family and was dedicated on August 15, 1983.
