Description of Memorial: The memorial is in several components. The centerpiece is a tall flagpole flying the US flag. Nearby is a bronze sculpture of a soldier kneeling before a cross. A plaque at the base of the flagpole bears the text above. The sculpture and flagpole are set in a semicircle of stone. Three benches - one red, one white, and one blue - surround the memorial.
