Desert Labyrinth is located in a linear park on Fairview Road across from the High School. This is a recent beautification project turning this unused area into a lovely park. There are desert plants, walking paths, dedicated benches and a picnic table for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Also there is "The Ditch" 100th Anniversary bronze commemorative plaque.
I often visit this park, as it is always peaceful and I usually sit and enjoy the warn fall weather. Today was no different, except I noticed the small desert plants arranged forming a circular pattern and a large flat stone in the center.
Never noticed it before, is this a labyrinth, I wondered...
I found the entrance and sure enough followed the path all the way around to the center. I went back to my car to get my camera, turned it on to take those perfect shots...replace battery.
This labyrinth is very unique as it is comprised of all native desert plants commonly seen in the nearby Oxbow. It is fairly large with six rings eventually circling around to end where the large stone awaits.
