This vantage point on Corcovado Mountain is at a parking area that marks the furthest that one can take a personal vehicle; to reach the summit from here, you must take a shuttle bus or the cog railroad. The location is on a long mountain spur that offers spectacular views of the entire surrounding area.

However, don't be fooled by the size of the large parking lot; it will be full of busses. Instead take the cog railroad from Corcovado Station and stop here for this view, then hop back on the train to go to the top. Or visit on the way back down, as we did.
