St. Jude Thaddeus Square is just east of the Corcovado Cog Train Station, which takes visitors to the top of the mountain to Christ the Redeemer. This is a fine place to relax while waiting for your turn on the train (it's quite busy so you bought your tickets in advance, right?) There is children's play equipment, an old electric locomotive on display, and a historic statue.
