HE SERVED HIS COUNTRY FAITHFULLY IN VARIOUS PARTS OF
THE WORLD, HE WAS CREATED A COMPANION OF THE MOST
DISTINGUISHED ORDER OF ST MICHAEL AND ST GEORGE IN
1902, WHICH DECORATION WAS PRESENTED TO HIM BY
KING EDWARD VII. FOR VALUABLE SERVICES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918. HE WAS GIVEN THE
DECORATION OF ST JOHN OF JERUSALEM, HE TOOK AN INTEREST
IN HIS NATIVE PLACE, HIS CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY INDIVIDUAL
WORTH, AND KINDLY DISPOSITION IS LEFT ON RECORD BY HIS
WIDOW WHO MOURNS HIS LOSS.
