Frank Gehry is the main architect behind the counseling center Heimdal, which is owned by the Cancer Society. Frank Gehry has collaborated with the Danish architectural firm Cubo Arkitketer on the building, which was completed in 2009.
The starting point is the old concierge building at the former Aarhus Municipal Hospital from 1908. In fact, only some of the walls remain. The rest is new and consists of glass and huge wooden beams. The large glass sections and the wooden beams provide a building with warmth and coziness. A welcoming place for cancer patients.
When you see the building from the outside, you notice how the sky is reflected in the glass.
