"The Norton-Orgain House is a 2-story frame vernacular center passage I-house. It is in the core of historic Salado, Bell County, Texas, and was constructed in approximately 1872 and has Victorian era and early 20th century alterations. The building faces west and consists of two main elements: a rectangular 2-story central hall volume and a 2-story ell addition on the rear of the house. Prominent architectural features include a 2-Btory gallery
across the front of the house and brick chimneys at the north and south gable ends."
