You might miss the tiny Winsted Diner at first glance but its hard to miss the anthropomorphic hot dog in a bun that stands outside the Winsted Diner.
The diner originated in New Rochelle, NY and was shipped on a flatbed railroad car from New Rochelle, NY to Winsted, CT in 1931. Despite devastating floods and hurricane many features of the original interior remain intact including the counter, stools and the original floor tiles.
They serve breakfast and lunch and can only seat about 20 customers.
