Photos taken on 14 September 2022. The entrance to the hangar is next to the Palm Springs Air Museum and is open to the public. It currently is an expansion of the museum and houses many exhibits.

Dr. James R. Houston served as the first Director of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center from 2000-2009. Dr. Houston published over 130 technical reports and papers and received several honors and awards including three Presidential Rank Awards; the National Beach Advocacy Award; and the Morrough P. O’Brien Award of the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association."
