Ozzie the Muscovy Duck was a wind duck that flew into the duck ponds at Stanley Park and made them his home for over two years. He was very tame and became a favorite of visitors to Stanley Park, especially school children. In November 2011 he was viciously killed by a teenage boy. The Westfield community was outraged and started a fundraising drive called "Pennies for Ozzie" help defray the cost of a memorial statue to be placed at the spot where Ozzie was buried.
The life size bronze statue of a seated Ozzie is located on a platform in the upper duck pond. A sign by the side of the pond is inscribed:
OZZIE THE MUSCOVY
