Photos taken on 11 September 2022. The memorial consists of a small bronze plaque, 1 foot by 1 foot, that is flush with the walkway of the plaza directly west of the Bono statue. It says, "These stars are dedicated to five citizens of this community who were presented with the Medal of Honor by the President of the United States.
Together, their fields of battle included World War II, Korea, Vietnam and service on the high seas.
They performed with valor and heroism, above and beyond the "call of duty", and in the highest tradition of the military.
