Baptism font in St Andrew's church, Hingham.
The font dates from 1870. The older font, as seen by Richard Hart in 1842 has been lost. So too the old font cover, which had a palindromic inscription in Greek [NIYON ANOMHMA MH MONAN OYIN - 'wash not only my face but my sins as well']
This font, an octagonal bowl with quarterfoil rose decoration, set on an octagonal plinth.
