Wooden pulpit in St Andrew's church, Hingham.

The pulpit was erected in 1887 in memory of 'the' Maynard Wodehouse Currie (visit link) , Rector 1873-1887 . It was designed by Sir Arthur Blomefield. The step rail has a newel figure of St Andrew, the disciple who pointed the way for others to come and meet the Lord, and flying angels support the pulpit from underneath.
