The memorial consists of an aluminum flagpole at the southeast corner of the Community Mausoleum. The flagpole stands at about 25 feet tall and has a small concrete base with a bronze plaque which says, "Dedicated to all veterans by V.F.W. Post No. 3173 and American Legion Post No. 72 April 27, 1985"
