Le campanile, clocher de l'église Saint-Blaise (San Biaghju en corse) a été construit entre 1870 et 1875. C'est un clocher de forme carrée, à 4 côtés et 4 étages.
Il a été construit par l'architecte bastiais Guasco.
Il est totalemnt séparé de l'église, ce qui est assez rare. Le seul autre cas similaire connu en Corse est celui de l'église de la Porta.

Au pied du campanile est apposée une plaque de marbre sur laquelle est gravé : « Campo santo dei Tedeschi - Ici tombèrent et furent enterrés 500 Allemands tués au service de Gênes - Bataille de Calenzana, 14 janvier 1732 ».
Cette plaque rappelle cet épisode historique de la lutte des Corses (soutenus par des soldats allemands) contre les troupes frnaçaises.

The campanile, bell tower of the Saint-Blaise church (San Biaghju in Corsica) was built between 1870 and 1875. It is a square bell tower, with 4 sides and 4 floors.
It was built by the Bastian architect Guasco.
It is totally separated from the church, which is quite rare. The only other similar case known in Corsica is that of the Porta church.

At the foot of the campanile is affixed a marble plaque on which is engraved: "Campo santo dei Tedeschi - Here fell and were buried 500 Germans killed in the service of Genoa - Battle of Calenzana, January 14, 1732".
This plaque recalls this historic episode in the struggle of the Corsicans (supported by German soldiers) against the French troops.
