This Solar System Model is operated by the Volkssternwarte e.V. in Bad Nauheim. It connects the observatory at the Johannisberg and the Goldsteinturm. The distance is about 2km which corresponds to a scale of 1:2.800.000. That means that one step relates to 2,8 kilometer in the solarsystem. The planets are represented by statues depicting the gods the planet are names by, except for Earth which is represented by a human face. The model has been built in 2010 as part of the garden exhibition (Landesgartenschau). In this year the Pluto was considered being a planet, that is, this model contains nine planets. Pluto can be found at the Johannisberg.
